You are being advised to set a family member or friend's number as the screen saver of your phone when heading to festivals in the midlands this summer.

They are also asking you to take note of your 15-digit (IMEI) number and update your emgerency contact to ensure your device can be returned to you.
Laois Offaly Gardai are advising having the following set as your screen saver: "This phone belongs to [First Name]. If found, please contact [Number]."
Your International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number can be found on the back of your handset under the battery or by pressing *#06# on your phone's keypad and it will appear on your screen.
You should aave a screenshot of your IMEI number and email it to yourself or a friend for safekeeping.
Gardai say if the emergency contact details on your phone, they can access them even if your phone is locked.
They are also advising anyone who is camping in Stradbally to remember not to leave valuables in your tent.
Officers in the midlands say they have been made aware of incidents of criminals pretending to be Gardaí to access phones and bank accounts.
They are reminding you that they will never ask for such information.
