Gardaí Make Fresh Appeal On Midlands Armed Robbery

Three men, armed with weapons, entered a shop and threatened staff.

Gardaí are making a fresh appeal for information in relation to an armed robbery in Offaly.

A quantity of cigarettes, alcohol and cash were stolen from a shop on in Ferbane about about 6.40 yesterday morning, after three men entered the premises armed with weapons and threatened two female members of staff.

The men left the scene in a dark coloured vehicle.

Three men - aged 19, 20 and 26 - were arrested in Galway yesterday afternoon and remain in custody in midlands garda stations.

Anyone who may have witnessed unusual activity or has camera footage from Main Street, Ferbane between 6.15 and 7 o'clock yesterday morning is asked to contact gardaí.
