Forsenic investigators had been examing the N6 Athlone to Moate road after a Bus Eireann bus, on route to Drogheda, left the road yesterday evening.

The 55-year-old driver died following the collision, there were around 20 passengers on board at the time and a number of them were treated at local hospitals for non life threatening injuries.
The road has now re-opened.
Gardai are continuing their investigations.
