Sinn Fein's candidate for Kildare South has gone on holiday for the week leading up to polling day.
According to Laois Today - Patricia Ryan had booked the pre planned trip before the election was called and will be back before the weekend.
Ms.Ryan was elected as a councillor in May's local elections and apologised for missing a number of engagements locally over the weekend.
She will be on the ballot for over 10,000 people in the Portarlington and Ballybrittas areas in the upcoming election.
