Gardaí in Laois stopped a Ford Focus in Rathdowney this morning, just hours after the driver began a two-year driving ban.
The driver was only 11 hours into the disqualification when the vehicle was pulled over by the Laois Roads Policing Unit.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified at the scene.
The Ford Focus was seized by officers following the stop.
The driver is due to appear before the courts.
