The number of children homeless in the midlands has risen.
A record number, 17,122 people were homeless in January.
Department of Housing figures show more than 5,300 children are living in emergency accommodation.
Its January report shows 318 adults and children accessed emergency accommodation in the midlands, up from 309 the month previous.
Charities in the sector are expressing concern at the continuing rise in homelessness.
