Ireland’s First European Space Agency Launches in Westmeath

It is Ireland’s national platform for space technology development. 

Ireland’s First European Space Agency ‘Phi-Lab’ is being launched in Westmeath today. 

The country’s first European Space Agency innovation centre, is opening at Irish Manufacturing Research in Mullingar.

The facility is Ireland’s national platform for space technology development. 

The launch is part of Ireland’s €170 million commitment to the European Space Agency over the next five years to strengthen its role in Europe’s growing space economy.

Founder and CEO of Mindseed which links space and ground technology Mark McCarville says the new centre will accelerate innovation and boost Ireland’s competitiveness in the space sector:
