The IRHA has met with several MEPs, including Offaly's Barry Cowen, in Brussels to discuss HVO fuel, as well as the introduction of a driving licence to cover all of Europe for transport workers.
It is also calling for 17 year olds to be allowed to drive alongside qualified drivers in the industry as part of the Driving Licence Directive.
