A European Candidate says people are putting their life on hold due to the housing situation.
Irish people are being left with a choice between staying in their childhood bedroom or leaving the country.
That's according to Midlands North West Candidate for the European Elections, Anthony Cahill, who says the cost of living is being driven by rising inflation.
He says up to 70% of adults are still living at home with their parents.
