Customers are being warned there may be disruptions to supply in Kilbeggan, Horseleap, Ballinagore, Streamstown, Ballinea, Ballinagore, Dysart and surrounding areas.
It's estimated the works will be completed by 5pm but it may take up to three hours for supply to fully return.
