January 2025 was the hottest on record globally.
Temperatures were 0.79 degrees Celsius above the 1991 to 2020 global averages for the month, according to a new report by the EU’s Climate Change Service.
Average temperatures in Europe were 2.5 degrees above the long term average, however Ireland was one of a few countries which was below average.
