A Westmeath family is hosting a 13.5km swim to raise funds for a suicide and self-harm prevention charity.
The Jim O'Connor Memorial Castle to Castle Swim is returning to Lough Ree this Saturday, all proceeds will support Pieta’s life-saving mental health services.
People taking part, will swim from Rindoon Castle in Roscommon to Athlone Castle, for the third year since it started.
The swim celebrates the legacy of Jim O'Connor, who swam 34 km, the length of Lough Ree in 2012 without a wetsuit, in over 13 hours.
