Lack Of Domestic Violence Refuges Being Debated At Offaly Council Meeting

There's been a large increase in demand in the last two years.

The local authority should allocate three buildings for victims of domestic violence

Independent rep Ken Smollen also believes Offaly County Council has a responsibility to provide a safe space for men and women.

He says there's been a 50% increase in calls for help from abuse victims in the past 20 months.
