The chair of Laois County Council believes the Court Service should do their part to make Portlaoise Court House fit for purpose.
It follows Circuit and District Judges Keenan Johnson and Andrew Cody outlining their concerns to the Court Service for staff about the condition of Portlaoise Courthouse.
Correspondence was sent last June after a rat was seen crawling into a room during court proceedings.
