It comes from the Severe Weather Assessment Team as flooding worsens.
Laois County Council is warning motorists in the county of ongoing localised flooding.
The Severe Weather Assessment Team is making the warning in light of forecasted rainfall, saturated ground conditions and bank full river conditions throughout the county.
They're urging drivers to drive safely and to not ignore road closure signage, where such signage is in place.
Crews from the local authority including Fire and Emergency Services and Civil Defence Volunteers are on standby, with sand-bags and pumps at the ready, to assist where flood events emerge.
A further update will be issued tomorrow.
