A Laois school has received the green light for a new state-of-the-art building.
Planning permission has been granted by Laois County Council for Dunamase College in Portlaoise which caters for 1,000 students.
The secondary school opened in 2017 but has been operating from three separate town-centre locations.
The new Timahoe Road campus will include modern classrooms, specialist rooms, a library, PE hall, general purpose hall and staff facilities.
Outdoor amenities will feature a hockey pitch, six ball courts, landscaped gardens and dedicated social spaces for students.
