Ireland’s first sports hub for visually impaired and physical disability athletes is being launched in Laois.
Laois Sports Partnership with the backing of local clubs and volunteers, rolled out programs for participants across sports such as athletics, golf, swimming, soccer, and cycling.
In Laois, more than 11 thousand 600 people, representing over 12% of the population, live with both a vision impairment and a physical disability.
