A Laois woman with a rare skin condition is marking her 36th birthday with a 36km walk.
Emma Fogarty from Abbeyleix, lives with a disorder that causes the skin layers and internal body linings to blister and wound, commonly known as butterfly syndrome.
Currently, more than 75% of her body is covered in open sores.
She isn't letting that stop her and has received messages of support from Hollywood actor Colin Farrell and Irish rugby captain Johnny Sexton.
