A midlands bowling operator is looking for answers after being forced to close by gardaí.

Cosmic Bowl in Tullamore reopened its doors last Saturday, after being closed since October.

Owner John Carroll says last year, bowling alleys were grouped with other leisure and entertainment businesses, like cinemas and swimming pools.

He says he doesn't understand why they're being considered differently this time around:
