He was arrested earlier this week.
The man arrested in relation to the disappearance of Giedre Raguckaite has been released without charge.
He was arrested by gardaí in Dundalk, Co. Louth on Monday morning.
He was being detained in a midlands garda station, but could only be detained for up to 24 hours.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
29 year old Ms. Raguckaite was last seen at a house in Laytown, Co. Meath in May 2018.
She had been living in Dundalk at the time of her disappearance, after arriving in Ireland in March of that year.
