He pleaded not guilty yesterday.
A 33-year-old man is due to stand trial this morning accused of the murder of school teacher Ashling Murphy last year.
Jozef Puska has pleaded not guilty, so his case will now be heard before a jury at the Central Criminal Court.
A jury of nine men and three women was sworn in yesterday to hear the case against Jozef Puska.
Before that process got underway, Mr Justice Tony Hunt urged potential jurors that anyone who had made public comments on social media about this case should not serve.
He added that if it was found later on that a juror had made comments on social media this could create very grave difficulties for the continuance of the trial.
Mr Puzka denies murdering Ashling Murphy, who died while out for a run at Grand Canal Way, Cappincur, Tullamore, Offaly on January 12th 2022.
The trial is expected to last for up to five weeks.
