A man has died in a crash in Offaly.
The single-vehicle collision occurred on the L1005 at Bracknagh, near Edenderry, shortly after 11pm last night.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at Tullamore Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The local coroner has been notified, and Garda forensic collision investigators will examine the crash site this morning, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision, particularly those with camera or dashcam footage, to contact Tullamore Garda Station.
