It happened on the N52.
A man in his early 70s has been killed in a two vehicle crash in Co Offaly.
The collision occurred on the N52 at Bunaterin, Tullamore, at around 10.10am.
His body has been taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore where a post mortem is due to take place.
The other driver, a man in his mid 30s, received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The road has reopened after Forensic Collision Investigators conducted their examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
