A man has been charged in relation to the death of John Maher last week.
The funeral of a Laois man who died in a workplace accident in Wicklow takes place today.
Portlaoise's John Maher passed away after an incident on a building site in Rathdrum last Wednesday.
37-year-old Tarieli Schatz of no fixed abode has been arrested and charged with careless driving causing death in relation to the incident.
The case will return to Wicklow District Court tomorrow.
Mr Maher's funeral mass takes place today at The Church of the Assumption and St Patrick in Rathangan at 12 noon.
His burial will follow in St Patrick's Cemetery.
