The series could be possible due to the winter season being axed.
Maura Higgins could feature in a new Love Island "all-stars" show.
The Irish Daily Star is reporting the series is making rounds in the rumour mill, after the Winter show was axed, and won't be appearing on our screens in January as planned.
It's the second time the Winter series has been chopped, after first airing in 2020.
The rumoured "all-star" show could take its place, and feature former islanders, including the Ballymahon model.
