A man has taken the battle against ash dieback into his own hands.
Oldcastle's Paddy Mangan has donated 9,000 saplings to people around the country, in a bid to promote the planting of trees.
He hopes to plant 35,000 trees every year, with a final goal of 250,000 by 2030.
Mr. Mangan has set up a Go Fund Me page, with a target of €5,000.
