Local representatives in Offaly are seeking a meeting with the Garda Superintendent, following reports from retailers of "thefts, abuse and anti-social behavior."
Fianna Fáil TD Barry Cowen and Councillors Declan Harvey and Tony McCormack have requested a face-to-face with Superintendent at Tullamore Garda Station, James Lawless.
It follows an informal meeting between local businesses and Gardaí regarding policing issues and available resources.
