One of the midlands' flag-ship car dealership has been given the green light for plans to expand its headquarters.
Michael Moore Care Sales originally saw their application to construct four vehicle service and sales buildings granted by Westmeath County Council before An Coimisiún Pleanála rejected those plans on safety and environmental grounds.
That decision came following an appeal by Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
The plans also include the demolition of a derelict premises on the Athlone site along with designs to construct a partial two storey motor vehicle service and sales building as well as two more structures for the purposes of valeting and washing vehicles.
After re-drawing the plans to take into account the need to manage foul water discharge and road safety on N62 the Council has once again granted permission for the expansion subject to 18 conditions.
