The winners for Family Carer of the Year have been announced across the Midlands for 2024.
Lorraine Dunning Rafferty from Athlone is this year's Westmeath Family Carer of the Year.
In Laois, the honour this year goes to Sarah Dooley from Mountmellick.
The awards aims to honour family carers and raise awareness on the need for more tailored supports from the State on carers.
