An estimated 32,000 people provide care for loved ones across the Midlands.
Today marks the start of National Carers Week across the Midlands.
The Heart of Gold campaign by Family Carers Ireland, in collaboration with Lidl stores is aiming to raise funds and awareness to its services.
These include carer support centers, a national freephone careline and emergency respite.
There's an estimated 32,000 carers in the Midlands.
