Neighbours are banding together to help the man who was attacked in his home.
A midlands community say they are "left in shock" after an aggravated burglary left a local man with serious injuries.
The incident occurred in the Graiguecullen area when the victim heard a noise in his garden and went to investigate, and was attacked by three men.
He is now recovering at home.
