A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an aggravated burglary in the midlands.
The incident occurred in Graiguecullen on Saturday at approximately on 11pm.
The man in his 60s was assaulted by three males at his home in the Sleaty Street area.
A sum of money was also taken.
The injured man was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí are particularly interested in information on a white Opel or Vauxhall Insignia type car seen in the area at this time.
They are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with information can contact Carlow Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line or any Garda Station.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the Duggan Avenue and Sleaty Street area of Graiguecullen between 10:45pm and 11:30pm on the 2nd July 2022 are being asked to come forward.
