A sharp increase in drug driving cases was recorded in the Midlands
A midlands driving instructor is calling for an alcolock system to be made mandatory across the country.
This comes as drug-driving prosecutions rose sharply in the Midlands over the past year, with just under 1,500 people brought before the courts for drug-driving nationally in 2024.
District courts across the country dealt with 2,050 people in the first ten months of this year, setting a new record for the highest yearly number.
