Midlands Facing Potential Record Temperatures And Stormy Weather

A high pressure system is leading to warm weather across the country today.

Temperatures could get close to a record high for April today. 

High pressure centred close to Ireland is bringing warm sunny conditions over the coming days.  

The current April record is 25.8 degrees Celsius which was set in Glenties, Co Donegal, in 1984.
 
However, Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says there's a chance the midlands could see some stormy weather:
