A decision is due on the development next January.
A midlands GAA club could be in line for a major extension.
Daingean GAA has submitted a planning application to Offaly County Council for a two-storey extension to the clubhouse.
The ground floor will include a remote office hub, a kitchen, a shop, and an upgrade to the existing changing rooms and showers.
The plans seek permission to install a gym and studio area on the upper level of the extension.
The club is also planning to develop a new all-weather pitch, 60 metres by 35 metres in size, with an artificial playing surface and a ball wall.
The new astro-turf pitch will be surrounded by a 5 metre high fence, and will be illuminated by six floodlights.
Within the application are plans to install four new floodlights to the south-side of the existing football pitch, as well as replacing the four floodlights to the north of the pitch.
The club is also seeking permission to upgrade the existing car park, and install a new drainage system.
A decision is due by Offaly County Council on January 27th, 2023.
