Officers believe the incidents may be linked.
Gardaí in the midlands are appealing for witnesses to three burglaries.
Electronics were stolen from a home in Lynn Heights in Mullingar, while a small sum of cash was taken from a residence in Newtown Lawns.
Another burglary occurred at a home in Hillside Drive, but nothing was reported stolen.
All three incidents occurred between 5pm and 9pm last Thursday, and entry was gained through the rear door in each case - Gardaí are investigating a possible link.
