Gardaí have launched an investigation following an alternation at a GAA match in Laois.
An alleged incident of assault allegedly occurred during a minor football match between Portarlington and Stradbally Parish Gaels in Portarlington at about 7 o'clock yesterday evening.
In a statement to Midlands 103, Laois GAA says it will review the referee's report and take action as appropriate and permitted under its disciplinary procedures.
