Dr. Deirdre Forde, of Ceile Medical in Athlone says women have told her they're still avoiding a conversation with their regular GP about symptoms as well.
She believes patients have a right to ask questions, and get answers.
Dr. Forde says she's surprised to hear these issues are still so prominent in 2023:
