Figures from the Irish Cancer Society shows over one in four people were waiting longer than recommended for chemotherapy and blood cancer treatment at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
It's one of the lowest compliance rates nationally at 73 per cent.
While Tullamore has recorded a full compliance rate effectively, with 95 per cent of patients having their first appointment in within 15 days.
