Midlands Local Authority Submits Plans To Extend Living City Initiative

Simon Harris is expected to extend the measures until 2030.

Local authorities in Westmeath, Sligo, Donegal and Louth are submitting area plans which will see the living city initiative extended in those counties.  

The scheme offers tax relief for certain derelict or vacant properties and its understood the expanded plan could open for applicants by the summer.  

Today at Cabinet Tanaiste Simon Harris is expected to extend the measures until 2030, while maximum relief thresholds will be raised for businesses and commercial properties – from €200,000 to €300,000.
