A Midlands MEP is criticising the European Commission President over a revised budget proposal that offers little depth or transparency for farmers.
Ciaran Mullooly says Ursula von der Leyen is walking away from the people in his constituency.
It comes after the commission's decision to reform the Common Agriculture Policy by abolishing Pillar 2 funding, which supports rural development and agricultural diversification.
Mr Mullooly also wants to see the restoration of the EU Just Transition Fund for the midlands extended past 2027.
He says member states can't be left to fix the issues regarding farmers losing their jobs:
