Midlands MEP Urges 'One-Stop Shop' For CAP

An Agricultural Committee report for the plan post 2027 is set to be voted on, which MEP Barry Cowen worked on as a lead negotiator.

A Midlands MEP is urging the European Parliament to consider a 'one-stop shop' for farmers in the next CAP stage.

Fianna Fail rep Barry Cowen served as lead negotiator for the Renew Europe group on a Agricultural Committee report for the plan post 2027.

The European Parliament are set to vote today on adopting the text, which calls for protecting ringfenced funding and reviewing the Nitrates Directive.
