The service has been closed since the start of the pandemic.
The prolonged closure of a midlands mental health service is having a lasting negative impact on those being deprived of care.
That's according to Laois–Offaly TD Carol Nolan who is calling on the health service to prioritise the reopening of the Community Mental Health Centre in Birr.
She says the facility has been closed since the start of the pandemic and requires maintenance and upgrade works in order to reopen.
