The new service will connect a number of towns in Offaly with regular buses.
A number of midlands towns are among those which will benefit from a new bus service, which is launching today.
The Route 850 will connect Athlone to Roscrea and Thurles, while also going through Banagher, Belmont, Cloghan, Clonmacnoise, Birr, Crinkle, Shannonbridge and Shinrone.
It will also support students in the TUS campuses.
