A midlands woman is preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in the name of charity.
Kirsha Rice from Walsh Island, and Michael Conlon from Timahoe have undertaken the challenge in a bid to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
The pair will hike the highest peak in Africa in August, as part of a team put together by Technological University Dublin.
She’s set a fundraising goal of just under seven thousand euro, and has already raised over €500.
