Fleadh organisers were "out of the loop" when celebrities Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan made a surprise visit to Mullingar in 2022.
Joe Connaire, who was the Cathaoirleach of the Fleadh executive committee in Mullingar, says organisers were left disappointed they didn't know about the visit in advance.
The revelation comes as Ed Sheeran stunned a publican in Olyegate in Co Wexford this week when he stopped by for an impromptu pint with locals.
