It’s coming back to Laois next September.
The National Ploughing Championship will return to Ratheniska.
The National Ploughing Association has taken to social media to announce the event will be coming back to Laois on September 17th, 18th and 19th next year.
Over 200,000 people attended the event at the Ratheniska site last year.
NPA Managing Director Anna May McHugh says:
“The NPA are delighted to be holding the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co Laois again next year. Feedback from landowners, the local community and the wider public has been very positive and all were enthusiastic to see a return to Laois.
It worked well as a location this year despite the inclement weather conditions. The site has proved popular for several reasons including its location in the middle of Ireland.”
