LOETB is indicating it's willing to be patrons.
Two extra primary schools will be needed for a Laois town to cope with future demand.
That's Portlaoise Councillor Paddy Buggy who wants plans for the schools included in the local area plan for the town.
The call comes as new government guidelines will require local authorities to provide an extra 50% in zoning for housing.
