An Offaly boy who received life saving surgery is being given the all clear by his surgeon.
Joey Conway from Tullamore, was diagnosed with Portal Vein Thrombosis, a life threatening condition which carries a 40% mortality risk during the first bleeding episode.
A fundrasing campaign set up in 2023, raised over €330,000 for the four year old to help fund his series of surgeries in Chicago throughout 2024.
The good news came through in Joey's last post-op visit to the clinic last week.
