The cheque was presented to the school this week.
A midlands running group has raised €10,000 for a local school.
Lough Boora Runners presented the cheque to Offaly School of Special Education this week.
The school says the generous donations they have received from the group over the years has enabled them to provide a host of additional experiences for the children.
Last year they used the funds to hire additional space for the children to carry out their physio programmes and for Judo classes.
They are also thanking the runners for their fundraising efforts.
